We collect orders throughout the week, up until Saturday at 3PM (PST) and roast them on the weekend. The orders are then shipped out on the following Monday (unless it is a holiday). 

Ex: If you place an order on a Thursday, that order will be roasted that upcoming weekend and shipped out the following Monday. 

We will try our best to fulfill orders as soon as possible, however orders placed after Saturday at 3pm (PST) will be included in the following week’s fulfillment. 

Can I merge multiple orders?

Yes. If you place multiple orders, we can merge them to help reduce shipping costs. Orders will be merged as long as they are within the same fulfillment week.

Does this apply to International orders?

Yes, orders will be merged as long as they are within the same fulfillment week.

Am I able to make edits/change my order? 

Yes, we are able to make edits to your order as long as it is before the fulfillment deadline (Saturday at 3PM PST) and providing we have the inventory to do so. 

To request a change/edit to your order please contact us as soon as possible at hello@hydrangea.coffee with your order #, the item(s), and the size of the item(s) you would like to remove and or add. 

Can we declare a lower value on custom forms to reduce duties or taxes? 

No. We cannot declare a different, reduced, or inaccurate value on customs forms to avoid taxes, duties, or import fees. All customs documentation must reflect the actual purchase value of the goods. 

How long does international shipping take? 

Delivery times vary by destination and customs processing. Estimated transit times are provided but are NOT guaranteed. 

Why is my shipment delayed?

Oftentimes mail couriers can experience an increase in packages that could overwhelm and skew expected shipment timeframes. Each shipping confirmation email will contain a tracking number that will allow you check for updates from the mail courier directly.

Why was my order marked delivered but it was not?

Oftentimes, we find that the package is left with a neighbor or in a different location at the delivery address, or a wrong # key was given for the package mailboxes, so please double check if possible. Sometimes mail carriers will mark packages as delivered, but will deliver them later that day or the next day. 

Unfortunately, we do not have any additional information than the tracking information you have received. Once we hand off packages to USPS, it is their job to guarantee delivery.

However, if it is still nowhere to be found, we can further assist you with this issue. Please reach out to us at hello@hydrangea.coffee with your name, order number, and a description of what you’re experiencing. We want to ensure that you are happy with your order; if possible we will look into sending a replacement order. 

What do I do if my order arrived damaged?

If your order arrived damaged please reach out to us as hello@hydrangea.coffee with your name, order number, and description and or picture of damaged items and we will do our best to find a solution to make it right. 

We are happy and willing to exchange non-coffee items or defective gear, as long as they are in the original condition, within 30 days of purchase. 

To request an exchange, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@hydrangea.coffee with your order #, the item(s), and the item(s) you would like to exchange it for.

We do NOT accept coffee returns at this time. However, if there is a problem with your coffee, please email us at hello@hydrangea.coffee and we will find out what’s happening and work to make it right.

If you change your mind after placing an order, we are happy to edit or cancel your order BEFORE Saturday at 3pm (PST). 

In the case of any faulty, incorrect, and or missing items received, we will provide a partial or full refund depending on the circumstance. If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us within 21 days of your purchase to request a refund. We may require supporting evidences, such as photographs or a description of the fault or error, to carry out the process.

In-person Pick Up in Berkeley (2323 4th Street, Suite #A, Berkeley, CA) will be available for:

Filter:

Equipment: V60 dripper
Coffee: 15 grams
Water Temperature: 93°C ~50ppm
First Pour to 50g at 00:00
Second Pour to 130g at 00:30
Third Pour to 190g at 01:05
Fourth Pour: 250g at 1:35
Total Brew Time: Aim for 2:30 minutes.
Note: Expect slightly longer extraction times for washed coffees and shorter for natural coffees.

Espresso:

For a traditional espresso recipe we recommend a 1:3 ratio around 30 seconds.

For a "turbo" style shot, aim around 1:4 in less than 20 seconds

For milk beverages we recommend tightening up the ratio closer to 1:2.5 ratio.

For filter and espresso we recommend about 2-3 weeks of resting - shorter for more processed-focus coffee, and longer for traditionally processed coffee.

We found that the majority of our coffees peak around week 4-6.
