About Hacienda La Esmeralda

Bosque 7 NC was harvested on April 26, 2026 from a 2.1-hectare production lot at approximately 1,700 masl. The average coffee tree age within the lot as 15 years.

Hacienda La Esmeralda is operated by the Peterson family in Boquete. The family acquired Jaramillo Farm in 1997, and the separation of high-elevation lots there played a central role in revealing the distinctive cup quality of Panama Gesha.

About Gesha

Gesha is an Ethiopian landrace whose Panamanian T2722 lineage is associated with exceptional cup quality at high elevation. It is particularly known for delicate floral, jasmine, and peach-like aromatics.

Processing

This coffee was processed as a natural. After harvest, the cherries were dried for 41 days on raised beds inside a climate-controlled drying room with constant airflow and precise temperature and humidity control.
