Elida Estate

The Lamastus family has produced coffee at Elida Estate since 1918. Located in Alto Quiel, Boquete, on the slopes of Volcán Barú, the farm grows coffee beneath shade trees alongside protected cloud forest. Volcanic soils, cool nights, and frequent mist create conditions in which cherries mature slowly. This Aguacate lot comes from the estate's plantings at 1,780–1,820 meters.

Variety

Originally collected from Ethiopia's coffee forests, Gesha became closely associated with Panama's high-elevation coffees. The variety is known for its potential to develop delicate floral and peach-like aromatics when grown and managed well at altitude.

Processing

Harvested on April 8, this Aguacate lot was washed and then dried in a dark room, with drying completed on April 22. In the cup, jasmine florals sit alongside notes of white peach and bergamot.
