Fincas del Putushio is a coffee-growing collaboration in Loja involving José Ignacio Jijón, Pepe Jijón, and Francisco Vintimilla. José Ignacio contributes to quality control and leads development of the newer project, while Francisco helped establish coffee production in the Putushio mountain area.

This washed Mejorado selection comes from 2,222 meters, giving it a different growing setting from the Jijón family's Finca Soledad in Intag.

Variety

Mejorado, often sold as Typica Mejorado, is cultivated by specialty producers in Ecuador, including Finca Soledad and Hacienda La Papaya. Producers keep this selection distinct from their other varieties during cultivation and processing, allowing its character to be evaluated across different preparations.

Processing
