HongfengGuogei Coffee Estate

Quanqing Zou, known locally as Zou Jie, is one of the producers behind HongfengGuogei Coffee Estate in Lancang County. The estate takes its name from the local Wa village of Guogei. Zou began working with coffee in 2003 and turned her attention to specialty production in 2016. Her work includes quality assessment, cupping, and developing the estate’s processing methods.

The farm occupies hillsides in Laba Township, where a humid subtropical climate brings ample rainfall and marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Alongside its own plantings, the estate works with surrounding growers, providing cultivation training and purchasing their coffee. Its variety trials have included Yellow Bourbon, Sarchimor, Pacamara, and Typica.

Processing

This lot uses an anaerobic washed process, combining fermentation with limited oxygen and washed preparation before drying. Its honeysuckle, apricot, and black tea notes bring together floral, stone-fruit, and tea-like elements in the finished cup.
